Fresh back from maternity leave, I was thrilled to develop and produce an internally facing conference for the BBC Academy’s Fusion strand in December. It was titled “Stronger Together? The Future of Creative Partnerships and Audience Participation for the BBC”, working with the brilliant Mark Jacobs from Fusion.
The event looked at Tony Hall’s vision for the BBC where the BBC is “Britain’s creative partner”, a catalyst for creative talent, and focused on how the BBC can creatively inspire audiences and individuals both on a one-to-one basis, but also through third parties.
I was thrilled to have a range of fantastic speakers:
Controller of Content Strategy – William Greswell
Digital Creative Director – Will Saunders
Jane Ellison – Head of Creative Partnerships
Make It Digital’s Partnership Lead – Andy Wilson
Get Creative’s Digital Editor – Stephen James Yeoman
Weather Watcher’s Launch Editor – Rebecca Skippage
Producer/Director from the Digital Storytelling Team using the SeenIt App – Jon Eastman
The Listening Project’s Producer at BBC WM – Mark Newman
I also had two fantastic chairmen:
Exec Producer NHU, Tim Scoones
myBBC Change Director, Sam Lewens
Many thanks to all who spoke and shared their insights and wisdom as well as those who attended in person, via the live stream on the day or have caught up watching the available videos (BBC staff only I’m afraid). And of course the rest of the Fusion team!
